BOILER BRAND
IDENTIFICATION GUIDE

Match your boiler to its make and model in under a minute — so you can request the correct Gas Safe repair across Glasgow and West Dunbartonshire.

IDENTIFY YOUR BOILER IN 60 SECONDS

Three steps — no tools, no crawling around. Just look, lift the front flap, and read the model code.

STEP 1

Look at the case

Most boilers can be ID'd from the colour, fascia shape and brand logo alone — start here before lifting anything.

STEP 2

Find the data badge

On every condensing combi, the data label lives behind the drop-down front fascia, usually low-left or centre — it has the serial number, model code and GC number.

STEP 3

Read the model code

Note the brand + series + output kW. e.g. 'Greenstar 30CDi Classic' — 30 = 30kW output, C = Combi, Di = display model.

IDENTIFICATION QUESTIONS

Why does Central Heating Scotland need my boiler model before I book a repair?

Knowing the brand and model lets us dispatch the right engineer, confirm parts availability before arrival and give you an accurate fixed price. Worcester Bosch, Vaillant, Baxi, Ideal and Glow-Worm have different fault codes, control panels and spare part numbers; an accurate model match turns a diagnostic visit into a same-day repair in most cases.

Where is the data badge on a combi boiler?

On virtually every wall-mounted combi sold in the UK, the data badge sits behind the front fascia — flip or hinge the front panel forward (no tools needed on most Worcester Bosch, Vaillant and Baxi models). The label shows the model code, serial number, GC number and rated output in kW.

Can you repair my boiler even if I can't identify the model?

Yes — our Gas Safe engineers carry diagnostic equipment for every major brand and can identify the model on site from the data badge. Booking without a model just means the first visit is a diagnostic, which we then quote against before any work is carried out.

READY TO BOOK YOUR REPAIR?

Tell us the brand and model from your data badge — our Gas Safe engineers cover Worcester Bosch, Vaillant, Baxi, Ideal and Glow-Worm across every Glasgow G postcode and West Dunbartonshire.
