Terms of Service

Introduction

These Terms of Service govern your use of the Central Heating Scotland website, booking system, quote engine, landlord and agency portals (together, the "Service"). By requesting a quote, booking an appointment or using the Service, you agree to these terms. Central Heating Scotland is a Gas Safe registered heating and gas boiler engineering business based in Glasgow, Scotland.

Our Services

• Boiler installation and replacement (combi, system and heat-only).
• Boiler repair and fault diagnosis.
• Annual boiler servicing.
• Landlord gas safety records (CP12) for rental properties and let agencies.
• Central heating system and unvented cylinder installation.
• Emergency call-out for no heating or no hot water.

Gas Safe Compliance

All gas work is carried out by Gas Safe registered engineers. Our Gas Safe registration number is displayed in the footer of every page and can be verified at gassaferegister.co.uk. We will not commence gas work where it would be unsafe or non-compliant, and we reserve the right to refuse or stop work on safety grounds.

Quotes & Pricing

Online quotes are estimates based on the information you provide and the postcode area. A fixed price is confirmed at the point of booking or following an on-site survey. We are not bound by an estimate if the information supplied is inaccurate or conditions on site differ materially from what was described. Published prices are in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT where stated.

Bookings, Appointments & Cancellation

• Appointments are scheduled to a morning or afternoon slot. We will give you as accurate an arrival window as possible.
• If you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify us as early as you can — ideally at least 24 hours before the appointment.
• Cancellations within 4 hours of the appointment, or missed appointments, may be subject to a call-out charge to cover engineer time and travel.
• We reserve the right to reschedule where unavoidable (e.g. weather, prior emergency call-out, engineer illness) and will offer you the next available slot.

Payment

Card payments are processed securely by Stripe (UK) Ltd. Where a deposit is taken at the time of booking, it reserves your appointment and is non-refundable if you cancel within the notice period above. Final balances are due on completion of the work, unless agreed otherwise in writing. Invoices unpaid after 30 days may attract a late-payment charge. Finance options (where offered for new installations) are provided by third-party lenders and subject to their own terms and eligibility checks.

Access to Your Property

You agree to provide safe, reasonable access to the property and the appliance(s) to be worked on, including parking where required, and to keep people and pets clear of the work area. You confirm you are the owner, landlord or an authorised tenant with permission to instruct the work.

Warranties & Guarantees

New boilers carry the manufacturer's warranty, which depends on the boiler being serviced annually by a Gas Safe engineer. Workmanship carried out by Central Heating Scotland is guaranteed for 12 months from the date of completion, excluding parts covered by their own manufacturer warranty. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under law. Subject to that, our liability for any single claim arising from our services is limited to the amount paid for the work giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses beyond what is foreseeable.

Website Use

You agree to use this website lawfully and not to misuse the booking, quote or chat systems, submit false information, or attempt to disrupt the Service. We may restrict or block access where we believe these terms have been breached.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continued use of the Service after changes indicates your acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Scotland. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
