Unvented cylinders must be installed and certified by a G3-qualified engineer — we are, and we register the work.
Powerful showers and fast-filling baths everywhere in the home, without a cold-water tank in the loft.
Megaflo, Joule, Range and Telford cylinders — sized correctly to your home and hot-water demand.
An unvented hot-water cylinder gives you mains-pressure hot water at every tap and shower — no cold-water tank, no weak showers. Because they store hot water under pressure, unvented cylinders must be installed, serviced and certified to G3 building regulations by a qualified engineer. We supply and fit Megaflo, Joule and Range cylinders across Glasgow, sizing the unit to your home and hot-water demand, and we handle all the safety valves, discharge pipework and certification that the regulations require.
We check your mains water flow rate and hot-water demand to size the right cylinder for your home.
You get a written quotation covering the cylinder, safety kit, pipework, discharge works and certification.
G3-qualified engineer fits the cylinder, pressure-reducing valve, expansion vessel and tundish discharge pipework.
We commission the system, register the installation and issue your G3 building-control certificate.
An unvented hot-water cylinder stores hot water at mains pressure, giving you high-flow showers and fast-filling baths without needing a cold-water tank in the loft. It works with system and regular (heat-only) boilers, not combis.
If you have multiple bathrooms, a large home, or low mains water flow, an unvented cylinder often delivers better hot-water performance than a combi. We'll assess your home and recommend the right option in your free survey.
Because they store hot water under pressure, unvented cylinders have mandatory safety valves and discharge requirements set out in building regulation G3. Installation and annual servicing must be done by a G3-qualified, registered engineer — and the work is notified to building control.
Cost depends on the cylinder size (typically 150–300 litres) and how much pipework and discharge work is needed. After a free survey we issue a written, fixed-price quote covering the cylinder, all safety kit and certification.
Yes — and it's a legal safety requirement, not a recommendation. The safety valves and expansion vessel should be checked annually by a G3-qualified engineer. We track your service date and remind you each year.
